A hidden structural crack. An ungrounded electrical panel. A roof one rainy season from failure. These are the things that can turn your dream property into a financial nightmare — and the things we find before you sign.
In Costa Rica, many properties are sold without any professional inspection. Buyers — especially those purchasing from abroad — often close on a home without ever knowing what's hiding behind the walls, above the ceiling, or underneath the surface.
Whether you're buying your first home, investing from abroad, or building new — we have an inspection for that.
Here's exactly what we examine during a full property inspection — so you know what to expect before we arrive.
Born in the United States. Raised between two cultures. Now building something real in Costa Rica.
I'm 18 years old — and yes, I know what you're thinking. But hear me out. I grew up between the US and Costa Rica, comfortable in both languages and both cultures long before most people have figured out what they want to do with their lives. Costa Rica wasn't a destination for me — it was home. The culture, the people, the energy of this place — I fell in love early and decided to build my future here.
I am a Certified Professional Inspector® (CPI) — certified by InterNACHI, the world's largest and most recognized home inspector association. Certification number NACHI26041431, verifiable at NACHI.org/verify. I trained to the same international standards used by professional inspectors across North America, and I apply them with an obsessive eye for detail and deep knowledge of how Costa Rica actually builds.
I started Apex because I saw the same gap everyone else in this market missed: buyers — especially expats — needed someone they could actually talk to. Someone who understood both worlds. Someone who would take the time to explain what's wrong, what it means, and what to do about it.
That's what I built Apex to be. Not the biggest. Not the oldest. Just the most thorough and the most honest.
Buying property in Costa Rica from the United States, Canada, or Europe? You need someone who understands both worlds. We communicate with you in clear English, negotiate with local sellers and contractors in fluent Spanish, and deliver every report in both languages — so nothing gets lost in translation.
Ofrecemos inspecciones completas con reportes detallados en español — para que usted, su abogado y su banco entiendan exactamente en qué condición está la propiedad antes de firmar.
Reservar en EspañolDon't sign before you inspect. Send us the property address on WhatsApp and we'll respond within a few hours — in English or Spanish.
